Additional Information
The Herbert's family-friendly art talks will bring a different gallery space or series of artworks to life each month, using animated talks and child-friendly language to help younger visitors to engage in a way that is meaningful to them.
Led by their expert learning team, these relaxed, drop-in talks encourage children to share their views and questions about the artworks they are introduced to, supporting them with their own interpretations. They understand that interpreting art can sometimes be difficult for children, but their friendly staff are here to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to discover and enjoy the exciting range of work on display by local, national and even world-famous artists.
After the talk, you may also choose to explore the galleries further and take time to do some sketching or photography around the gallery spaces (where permitted) to help your children engage with the collections further.
