Help us to get 'Maud' back on the Road!
03 June 2014
With Commemorative events for the Centenary of the outbreak of the First World War almost upon us, our Workshop Technicians and Friends of CTM are working flat out to finish the restoration of our 1916 Coventry built Maudslay Lorry.
So far it has taken seven years to bring this wonderful vehicle back from the brink of decay, having been found in Scotland being used as a mobile holiday home.
She is the only vehicle of her type left in the world, and we affectionately call her 'Maud'.
What we need now to complete the restoration is £5,000 cash for the last few parts and additional bodywork ....'Maud' is very nearly ready for the road!
If you can help us with a donation of anything from 50p to £5,000...here are three ways to make a difference.
1. Donate on line using Just Giving at http://www.justgiving.com/Culture-coventry
2. Text MAUD98 £5 to 70070
3. Post a cheque made payable to 'Culture Coventry' to: Maudslay Lorry Appeal, C/o Coventry Transport Museum, Hales St. Coventry. CV1 1JD
You can keep right up to date with the Maudslay Project at http://covtm.blogspot.co.uk
In the event that a gift becomes surplus to the Maudslay Lorry Appeal, the Trustees will apply the proceeds for the conservation and care of the collections at Coventry Transport Museum in accordance with the regulations of the Charity Commission.
Thank you for your help....'Maud' is a Coventry lass through and through and is coming to you soon!
