Introduction to Robotics Course for Children
06 December 2010
January 2011
In January local company Stretching Minds will be running an exciting Robotics course for children at the Museum, using the latest LEGO® MINDSTORMS ® technology.
The course, which is suitable for children aged 8 to 14, runs for four consecutive Saturdays, starting on 15 January 2011.
Children will work in pairs and will have hands-on experience with a NXT ® robot and computers. In the first session they will build LEGO ® robots, the following week they will learn how to program the robots to move and try out challenges, week three sees them getting to grips with the robot’s sound and ultrasonic sensors and in the final week they will have fun getting the robots to move to music.
The course costs £40 per child, for four sessions, with an early bird 10% discount for booking before 24th December.
To book contact Stretching Minds at info@stretchingminds.co.uk or by telephone on 07988 461009.
