Our Holiday Clubs invite our 11 – 16-year-olds STEM enthusiasts to a whole day-experience of getting hands-on with specially designed STEM activities. Learning and Fun is included.

*The price includes booking fees, refreshments and admission to the museum.
Dedicated to our 11 – 16-year-olds, our Holiday Club invites those who are curious about STEM subjects and are looking for a whole day-experience of getting hands-on with specially designed STEM activities from a variety of experts.
Exploring the theme PRESS PLAY, a variety of MiCLab STEM activities are set up for your young people to actively – and playfully - explore our museum’s collection as well as relax in the unique environment of our museum.
Self-led activities encourage independent and playful engagement with STEM related concepts and include:
- A deconstruction zone
- A maker space with tools, modelling material and electronics
- A quiet space with books, sketching material and small construction sets
- Board games
- And more
Guided activities provide opportunities for young people to further develop their STEM knowledge and gain practical skills. These include:

Taking electronic items apart and experimenting with simple circuits.
Friday 15 August | STEM and Crafts – Mechanics
Exploring mechanical solution in crafts and innovation in transport. Led by Amy Wilde.
Wed 20 August | STEM Skills – Transport and Safety
Rob Bennett: The physics behind crumple zones and other safety features
Thursday 21 August | STEM and the Arts – Kinetic structures
Julia Snowdin (installation artist): Why do things spin?
Friday 22 August | Mechanic masterminds with the Coventry Transport Museum Learning Team
Upcycling cycles, scooters and sledges (and cycle related accessories) and exploring mechanics along the way
