Join us to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Thrust SSC breaking the sound barrier
On 15 October 1997, the Thrust SuperSonic Car became the first land vehicle to break the sound barrier. The car is now one of the highlights of our collection, situated within our Land Speed Gallery, alongside Thrust2 and Bloodhound.
To mark the 25th anniversary of this major event, we're hosting a day full of activities including guided tours, interactive trails, and a family friendly-talk.
Throughout the day, we'll also be hosting a mix of open-ended play experiences and STEM-inspired workshops for children aged 8+. Check out the programme below and make sure to check back to this page for updates as more activities are announced!
Join the driver of the world's fastest car for a live talk in our Starley Suite followed by a public Q&A in our Land Speed Gallery.
