Join us for a celebration of Thrust SSC ahead of the 25th anniversary of its record-breaking drive
On 15 October 1997, the Thrust SuperSonic Car became the first land vehicle to break the sound barrier. The car is now one of the highlights of our collection, situated within our Land Speed Gallery, alongside Thrust2 and Bloodhound SSC.
Ahead of the 25th anniversary of this major occasion, we're excited to be welcoming members of the Thrust SSC team (including Richard Noble OBE) to the museum to celebrate the legacy of this amazing vehicle, as part of a day of Thrust-themed activities. Find out more about what's coming up below!
Led by our in-house team, this guided tour of the Land Speed Gallery is a chance to learn about the record-breaking Thrust SSC and Thrust2 cars. Tours are included in normal museum admission with no extra charge, but booking is essential.
Go CV cardholders go free. If you do not have a Go CV card, please ensure you purchase a ticket for the museum as well as booking your free guided tour ticket.
Please note that the 11.30am tour is sold out. An additional slot is now available at 12.30pm.
