Ready, steady, engineer!
Get stuck into creative problem-solving and let your imagination loose in an open-ended play environment, with different themes linked to our museum collections each week.
Taking place directly in our gallery spaces, our Mini Museum Engineers play series offers a great opportunity for little ones to begin to explore museum environments in a way that is fun and meaningful to them. Led by our expert Learning team, sessions have been carefully designed to help promote early engineering and problem-solving skills, supporting with STEM-based learning through hands-on play items that differ every week.
Not sure what STEM is?
Don’t worry, you don’t really need to know what it is to enjoy and embrace these activities. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, which might sound complicated, but STEM-based play is important for early years learning, too! Exposure to any play that encourages children to figure things out, discover how things work and be creative can support STEM learning, and by attending these sessions, you'll soon realise that it's all around us, all the time.
Want to make a group booking? If you are a nursery teacher or childminder looking to book for more than five children, please contact our visitor team by emailing ctm.info@cvlife.co.uk or email Family Learning Officer Anja via anja@cvlife.co.uk and we will be happy to help!
