Looking for a fun, hands-on experience the whole family can enjoy? Family Museum Engineers is your invitation to explore, build, and imagine together in a playful environment inspired by STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths.
No need to be a STEM expert to enjoy these exciting sessions! Our talented Learning Team is here to support you through open-ended activities that spark curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity. Whether you're constructing parachutes, crafting sleighs, or experimenting with materials, each session offers something new and exciting—plus plenty of quality family time.

Quiet Times sessions for: Saturday Play Days
Family Museum Engineers are play sessions designed for the whole family and can be overwhelming when it is very busy. Introducing our quiet times, we welcome a small number of families to ease into their exploration of our open-ended play space in a calm environment.
Families will start their day with a short walk from the front entrance through a quiet museum to a calm workshop space where unique resources encourage engineering skills, problem-solving, imagination and of course, quality family fun!
Each month our family museum engineers will get hands-on with play items that differ slightly each time, offering the exploration of different themes and objects inspired by our collections and varied experiences each time you visit

We offer this space to three families at one time.
Should the spaces be filled by the time you complete and send your booking form, we will place you on a waiting list for the day you have requested. In the case of a cancellation, we will inform you immediately.
