STEMventuri At Coventry Transport Museum – Powered by Innovation!
Get ready for an exciting 6-week engineering adventure where participants will dive into the world of electric vehicles and bring their own race car to life – all for Megg the Egg!

Who is it for?
Home educated young people aged 11-16.
STEMventuri is supported by their funding organisation Sanjay Mortimer Foundation and aims to especially support neurodivergent home educated young people aged 11-16 to explore their path into a possible STEM career. We therefore encourage those who define as neurodivergent, to register their interest in this unique workshop but also welcome those who do not define as neurodivergent.
What’s in store?
Young people will:
- Design and prototype their very own chassis
- Build and wire an electronic circuit
- Code both the car and its remote control using the BBC micro:bit
- Test, tweak, and race their final designs
- Learn troubleshooting and problem-solving skills that engineers use every day
Why join?
This hands-on challenge is not just fun – it’s a chance to explore STEM in action, spark creativity, and build confidence in a supportive, exciting environment.
Generously funded by the Sanjay Mortimer Foundation who are making it possible for STEMventuri to deliver their workshops at Coventry Transport Museum.
