Description
Bats have been a source of fascination throughout human history, featuring widely in folklore across the world. They also hold a key role the ecology of their habitats and possess some amazing abilities.
We'll begin with a slide presentation by the ranger, that dips into some of the cultural associations, alongside their remarkable evolutionary adaptions. We'll then venture out for a night time stroll to spot them in their natural habitat! Learn how to use our bat detectors to listen to their high frequency echolocation calls. How many species will we see?
