Coventry Transport Museum at Motorcycle Live
03 December 2012
We had a fantastic nine days at the NEC last week, where we flew the flag for Coventry at the UK's largest motorcycle show - Motorcycle Live.
We were approached by the organisers of this modern motorcycle extravaganza, who asked us to put together a Classic Zone at the event, and we did them proud, by creating a show-stopping stand filled with 19 of the most important and interesting classic motorcycles to have been designed and built here in Coventry.
In doing so, we of course shouted loud and proud about our wonderful Museum and City.
Whilst we met hundreds of people at the show who are passionate about the Museum and have visited many times, equally we spoke to people from around the UK who had their appetites whetted, and are now planning visits to Coventry to come and see the rest of our unique collection.
Motorcycle Live is the biggest and best motorycle event in the UK, where all of the major brands come to show off their new models - and whilst our machines may not be shiny and new, they certainly attracted plenty of attention from enthusiasts of all ages!
We met people for whom our stunning display conjured up nostalgic memories of their youth, and many others who were fascinated by our machines and ultimately inspired to find out more about our region's unique transport heritage.
Thanks to the organisers of this magnificent show for inviting us to be involved, and here's to Motorcycle Live 2013!
