Olympic Torch - Now on display!

27 October 2012

One of the Coventry designed and manufactured Olympic Torches from the London 2012 Olypmic Games has been presented to the Museum as a permenant exhibit, courtesy of Mr. Denis Meagher - the Managing Director of the Premier Group of Exhall in Coventry.

The Premier Group manufactured over 12,000 Olympic Torches for the Summer 2012 Olympics and Para-Olympics and the Museum is very honoured and proud to announce that the torch will be on display from November.

The reaction from the public during the filming of the presentation in Coventry on Thursday 18th October was amazing, the torch really does have an aura all of it's own.

A new website created by Craig Nelson, a supporter of the Museum, shows the route taken by the Olympic Torch in July through the streets of Coventry and the neighbouring towns on it's way to London.
