Coventry Transport Museum Gets Trucking!

In conjunction with In-Transit Logistics, who are based at Baginton Airport, Coventry Transport Museum is going into the trucking business with a number of 40 tonners which will be sporting the CTM logo and web address on the curtain sides of the trucks.

In-Transit are one of the busiest fleet logistic companies in the Midlands, with their articulated lorries driving all over the UK, and with the added profile of Coventry Transport Museum’s logo and web address on the curtain sides of their trucks, the Museum is guaranteed to build on their visitor numbers of over 420,000 for the past year.

The idea of truckside promotions came from a brainstorming session of the Museum’s Development Team late last year, and the search was on to find a trucking company willing to help the Museum.

Step forward In-Transit…the company’s Managing Director Barrie Smith was very keen to get involved, as he is a Coventrian and is very proud of the association between his company and the Museum.

“When I was first approached to get involved with the plan, I was only to pleased to help and support. Coventry Transport Museum is a superb Museum with a fantastic collection, it’s a great idea and my drivers are really chuffed to be taking out our trailers with the Museum’s logo onboard!”

“We have been looking at alternative ways of getting the Museum’s profile out in front of the public, and this fits our plans perfectly. We have the largest and best collection of British Road Transport in the world and to have our logo on a fleet of Coventry based articulated trucks going all over the UK is just the ticket. We can now officially say that Coventry Transport Museum is truly going places!”

The first of a number of CTM liveried trucks hits the nation’s motorway network later this week, with a number of others coming on line in the few weeks. Look out for them when you’re next out on the road.
