What a day with Herbie with The Beetles!

Herbie arrived and conquered, in his own VDub style!

Horace Panter from The Specials and Lady Godiva were here on Saturday 26th May for a couple of hours. They were here to meet a fully restored VW Beetle in full 'Herbie' decor as part of a fundraising challenge entitled Herbie's going back to Monte Carlo! www.herbiesgoingbacktomontecarlo.com

31 Beetles and their drivers joined Herbie in a convoy from the Ricoh Arena (on the A444, just off Junc 3 - M6) right into Coventry city centre and parked up on Millennium Place, outside the front of the museum. Basking in the glorious sunshine, an audience of at least 500 met Herbie plus his 31 Beetle friends and Horace and Lady Godiva...it was really cool!

The Beetles definately reformed on Millennium Place on Saturday...a BIG thank you to everyone who came along and gave Herbie and the Beetles the biggest Coventry Transport Museum welcome!
