Object of the Fortnight - Morris Engines Standard

26 November 2010

Current Location - Boomtown Gallery

This standard (flag) was donated to the museum in a beautiful ceremony in August 2010, by the Coventry Branch No. 1 of The Royal British Legion.

An exact history of the standard is still unknown but members of The Royal British Legion are currently undertaking research which will hopefully give us more information. What we do know is that the Morris Engines British Legion Branch started in the early 1920s and stayed as the British Legion until the mid 1960s, then became The Royal British Legion.

You can discuss this item on its Facebook page.
