Step back in time and relive the magic of childhood holidays at I Remember That! A relaxed, friendly event designed to spark memories, conversations and smiles through familiar objects, music and stories from the past.

- Explore our holiday displays
- Discover more about our holiday‑themed exhibits, including the iconic Eccles caravan and the fascinating story of its journey all the way to Damascus.
- Memory‑making activities
- Handling objects to touch, examine and talk about
- Holiday music from the 1950s and 1960s playing throughout the day
- Memory Board – share your own holiday memories and read those of others
- Family‑friendly picnic area
- Colouring‑in activities with holiday‑themed objects for younger visitors
- Blank postcards for children to write about their own imaginary or real holiday adventures
- Vintage holiday posters and postcards as a cheerful backdrop
Whether you’re remembering seaside trips, caravans, long car journeys or favourite holiday songs, I Remember That! is a wonderful opportunity to share stories across generations.
