For ages 7-14
Our Girls’ STEM Holiday Club at Coventry Transport Museum is designed to give girls aged 7–14 a welcoming, supportive space to explore science, technology, engineering and creativity. In a world where girls are often underrepresented in STEM fields, this club provides an environment where they can build confidence, experiment freely and discover their potential as future innovators.
Through hands-on challenges, participants will design, build and experiment using real tools and materials, developing problem-solving skills, creativity and teamwork along the way. Our activities encourage curiosity and experimentation, helping girls see that STEM is for everyone—and that their ideas and inventions matter.
Each day combines facilitated STEM activities with opportunities to explore the museum galleries, discovering the fascinating stories of engineering, transport and innovation. Girls will also have time for open-ended play, collaboration and relaxing in our chill-out spaces, giving them the chance to socialise, recharge and explore their interests at their own pace.
Our experienced Learning Team will support and guide the group throughout the day, helping to create a positive, encouraging and inclusive environment where every participant feels comfortable asking questions, trying new things and sharing ideas. All members of the team hold enhanced DBS certificates and have extensive experience working with children in creative learning settings.
