Join us for an informal chat to help us shape the future of our family offer while your little ones enjoy a relaxed play session at the museum. Our play spaces have been prepared to reflect the themes we'd like to explore with you, and we're also eager to hear your ideas and suggestions for how you'd like to enjoy our museum with your family. Hot drinks are available for grown-ups as a thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback.

Looking to make a group booking? For nursery groups or larger childminder groups of more than 5 children, please email our visitor team at info@cvlife.co.uk or contact our Family Learning Officer Anja by emailing anja@cvlife.co.uk and we'll be happy to help!

Good to know for families

We believe that families should have a voice to guide the future visitor experience of our museums. By setting up these playful consultation sessions we aim to gain direct feedback from our families in a fun and relaxed way. This might mean that we are piloting new play resources where a member of our Learning team spends the session observing how families are engaging with these while you are simply enjoying the space. In other sessions, we might set up our play space to answer a question around something that we think might impact or have found is currently impacting the overall visitor experience, such as dark spaces or loud noises.

We hope to keep a record of these sessions which may include observational notes, quotes and images taken throughout the sessions. Names, ages and precise descriptions will not be included in our observations. Images taken will not be of any participants faces or other defining features. While any form of record is currently meant for internal use, we may wish to use some records of our findings with the wider museum community.

Most importantly., we understand that sometimes you just want to play and we want you to be comfortable during these sessions. So please do let us know on the day if you do not wish to be included in our records and we will respect your decision to let you play.
