Saturday 19 May (11am - 5pm)
Sunday 20 May (11am - 4pm)
Millennium Place, outside the museum
Taking place against the backdrop of the museum, the Carnival will feature Steampunk themed live entertainment and music.
Steampunk can be described as Victorian Retro Futuristic Science Fiction, if you are unfamilar with the genre! Loosely based on the works for Jules Verne and H.G. Wells it influences film, music and fashion. Intrigued? It's easy to join in with as the community are extremely welcoming and the basics for costume can be acquired cheaply in charity shops, and enhanced to your heart's content - the only limit is your imagination!
Entertainments on the day will include
Ichabod Steam and his Animatronic Band
Rivers and Kidd
Kiss Like Ether
Open mic session
Plus head inside the museum for the fantastic Steampunk Marketplace!
