Collecting Policy Offering An Item To The Museum Adopt An Object Archive Heritage Certificates Online Catalogue Home Collection Collecting Policy Collecting Policy We still collect actively. Our collection policy focuses on significant material relevant to the history of Coventry road transport, but we also occasionally collect items of national or international importance. You must book an appointment if you wish to enquire about submitting items to our collection. Please email museumcollections@cvlife.co.uk The collection is managed by the Collections/Curatorial Team and looked after by the Collections Care Department, who maintain the running collection, restore damaged objects and conserve original material. The Museum has a Conservation area within the ‘A New Industry’ exhibition where visitors can view restoration and maintenance projects being undertaken. We work closely with other museums to provide the best possible care to our collections, and also share our collections care knowledge with private individuals and other heritage groups. The volunteers at Coventry Transport Museum assist us with looking after the collection and undertaking restoration work as well as help us with external promotional events.
