Murray Walker OBE visits CTM

07 May 2010

The undisputed voice and personality of Formula 1 racing Mr. Murray Walker OBE came to visit Coventry Transport Museum on Wednesday 5th May, during his 24 hour stay in Coventry. He was in the city to give a lecture at Coventry University and managed to fulfil a lifelong ambition by coming to the museum and enjoying his time in the motorcycle gallery most of all. He was escorted round the museum by Gary Hall - CEO of Coventry Transport Museum.

His knowledge of motor racing is unprecidented on both two and four wheels and has enough energy to whizz round the world twice...not bad for a gentleman of 86 years!

Murray, we salute you and hopefully we'll see you again in the not too distant future.
