Coventry Cycling Festival moves to Broadgate

30 May 2013

Coventry’s annual Cycling Festival, which has previously been held in Millennium Place outside Coventry Transport Museum, is to move to the city’s new event space in Broadgate, for the 2013 event.

The festival will take place on Saturday 15th June, from 10am to 4pm, and will see Broadgate filled with pedal-powered family fun throughout the day.

Activities will include spectacular mountain bike stunt shows, lots of opportunities for people of all ages to get hands on with a wide range of cycles, from having a go at high-speed ‘roller racing’ to trying out some weird and wonderful bikes – and there’ll be heaps of activities on offer for children to get involved with.

Steve Bagley, Head of Collections at Coventry Transport Museum, and one of the organisers of this special event said:
“Coventry Cycling Festival has been a really popular event for many years, and we are excited to be moving the Festival further into the heart of the City this year – the hope is that even more people will come along and get involved.  Whether or not you own a bicycle there will be lots for you to have a go at, and if you’ve never ridden a bike before then there couldn’t be a better time to give it a try!”

Coventry Cycling Festival takes place in Broadgate, Coventry City Centre, on Saturday 25th June 2013, from 10am to 4pm.  Admission is free of charge.

Coventry Cycling Festival is kindly supported by Coventry City Council & Cycle Coventry.
